Seth Garrett I love you!

This is such a great book. I snuck it off my mothers nightstand when I was in 5th grade in 1978 and read it when it first came out. I was too young, the book was defintely adult themed but I never ever forgot the characters. My grandfather always told me that his great grandmother was a true bohemian gypsy and so right away the very first page had my complete attention and I was hooked. I looked for years for a copy of this book so I could read it again and finally found it on amazon about five years ago. I have read this book over and over and it is just filled with vivid details, adventure, history and timeless love story. It's simply my favorite book of all time. Natasha Peters is the best, most definitely.
Edit: Then years later, I read Savage Surrender which was wonderful to go back and reframe Seth through his parents and be able to figure out why he was such a dark character. This has stuck with me through the years as personal favorites and would have been wonderful to see them produced on film. Rhawnies little love nest in Bavaria reminded me of that of Marie Antoinettes from history. I can't say enough about these two books, read them you won't be disappointed!

Dangerous Obsession

I just finished this book - got it at a library sale - I had read Savage Surrender when I was a freshman in high school and have often wondered what happened to Garth and Elsia - the sad part was I almost didn't buy it - but because of the author I thought I would give it a shot - I was so shocked when Rhawnie overhears Seths mother was a pirate - I knew just knew that he was their son - I had to flip through the book to find out - this is another true love story - packed with adventure and rooting for them to get together just like Garth and Elsia - I was really glad that I picked the book up - read it in 2 days because I couldn't put the book down.

Relatioship not satifying

After orphaned Rhawnie was violated by her uncle, Elise and Garth's (from the author's first book SAVAGE SURRENDER) prodigal son Seth helped the "Golden Gypsy" to get away. She lived as his unwilling mistress in high society. They got married when she was preganant, then she lost the child. In the second part of the book they spent a lot of time seperated or together but hating/hurting each other. Rhawnie even fancied herself in love and slept with Seth's gentlemanly brother Steven. She could not make up her mind whom she loved until the last minute, and Seth sometimes behaved like a violent brute. The story was written vividly, but it left me with an unsatisfied feeling.
